Question by Lesley P: my son has Molluscum Warts, how can we get rid of them?
My 11 yr old son has had Molluscum warts for around 6 to 8 months and the doctor says they may go away on their own, but I’m hoping for some kind of way to get rid of them before the summer(swimming etc.) starts.
There are around 8 on the side of his stomach and 2 are getting irritated & red so I’ve asked him to use polysporin after his shower each night. I know that won’t get rid of them persay, but does anyone know a home remedy or OTC solution? thanks so much for any help on this, it doesn’t bother him, but they just don’t look very nice.
if you don’t have an answer and are just here to Spam, go somewhere where people aren’t trying to look for decent answers to serious questions. you’re wasting everyone’s time and violating Yahoo’s guidelines also!

Molluscum isn’t technically a wart, but OTC wart removers can sometimes get rid of them. You can take a toothpick and dab a tiny drop on each one a couple times a day. If that doesn’t work, the Dr can give anti-virals, which are a little expensive, or they can be frozen off.
