Question by playgirlbunnie45: molluscum contagiosum?
can you get reinfected with molluscum contagiosum after you’ve already had it and your body’s gotten rid of it?
Answer by Alfredo Garcia
Yes. It’s not something you become immune to. It’s essentially like a sexually transmitted disease. If you have sex with someone with M.C. after you’ve been treated, you can get it again. The same is true of gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc.
